Meet Rita Dickens - Consultant

Rita’s passion is to help set her clients up for growth and development.  Her effervescent personality, positive outlook and easy conversation, helps to put people at ease.  A keen listener, she is enthusiastic about making new connections and is fulfilled by assisting others in achieving success.

Although born and raised in South Africa, Rita spent a number of years in the North of England.  Embarking on this life adventure, led Rita to meet her husband, Neil and start a family.

Having studied Marketing Management in South Africa, her passion for helping people always drew her towards broader business roles in the UK incorporating functions such as Human Resources.  Once settled, Rita took up a role as Site Manager at a large food manufacturing plant supporting the temporary and seasonal labour. With responsibility for 200 members of staff, this role provided Rita with the opportunity to explore every aspect of their HR function including management of staff contracts, complex payroll, training and recruitment. She is also a qualified coach in Emotional Intelligence, and a volunteer member of the Community Emergency Response Team of the Cayman Islands.

It is out of the office, however, where Rita has gained some of her most valuable life experience!  A proud Mum of two golfers who have represented the Cayman Islands in many tournaments, Rita regularly has the opportunity to wear multiple hats, juggle many tasks and think on her feet.  Rita understands the importance of time management, provision of emotional support, and staying patient all whilst striving to be a positive influence.

Rita is passionate about her community and making a difference.  Since moving with her husband and two sons to Cayman in 2015, Rita has volunteered for local charities such as the Humane Society and assisted at Taste of Cayman as a Senior Volunteer.  She has acted as the Event Coordinator for the Cayman Islands National Festival, Pirates Week and is a champion of promoting the importance of protecting the heritage and culture of these islands.

Rita believes in strength of body and mind and that health and mindfulness are key to a balanced and more content lifestyle. She is fluent in Afrikaans, has been honing her pickle ball skills and does yoga on a regular basis.
