Meet Savina Taylor - Consultant
Savina is passionate about helping organisations build strong people foundations that support both business success and employee wellbeing. Known for her approachable nature, practical mindset and ability to build trusted relationships, Savina enjoys partnering with leaders and employees to create workplaces where people feel supported, engaged and empowered to grow. She believes that effective People and Culture practices are built on communication, consistency and understanding the unique needs of every organisation.
Born and raised in Jamaica, Savina later attended the University of Newcastle in the United Kingdom, where she studied Agri Business Management. After several years in the North of England, she decided that warm weather was far more her scene and made the move to the Cayman Islands. Over the next sixteen years, Savina built a diverse career across several industries, including Fund Administration, Insolvency, the legal sector, banking and most recently the rapidly evolving Web3 and blockchain industry. These experiences provided her with a strong operational and compliance background while also developing expertise in employee engagement, talent acquisition and global People Operations strategy. Working across both traditional corporate environments and innovative technology sectors has given Savina a well rounded perspective on the evolving needs of modern workplaces.
Savina holds the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and is committed to continuous learning and staying current with evolving People and Culture practices. She also previously served as a Director of the Cayman Islands Society of Human Resource Professionals (CISHRP), supporting initiatives focused on professional development and collaboration within the HR community.
Outside of work, Savina enjoys spending time with her young daughter, particularly on the tennis court. Teaching her daughter the game has become an ongoing lesson in patience, perseverance and humour, especially given her daughter’s temper is not dissimilar to that of John McEnroe.
